What is a "Reading Intervention Program?"

The Reading Intervention Program is an Orton-Gillingham Based Approach that uses multi-sensory instruction to teach reading and language development to individuals who are struggling to learn to read and write. The Reading Intervention Program is derived from the lessons found in the Alphabetic Phonics Program created by the Scottish Rights Hospital. It is a systematic and sequential curriculum that starts instruction at the known and gradually moves to the unknown.
